Other Activities At Jaipur

- Bowling
Bowling can be done at the Megabowl in Jaipur. This is India’s largest indoor amusement park and is located at Malviya Nagar and has the latest computer/video games and a bowling alley.

- Band Ceremony
Band Ceremony Leading band players of Jaipur assemble for one hour most Saturday evenings and play traditional Rajasthani tunes against the backdrop of the majestic Albert Hall in Ramniwas Bagh. The band’s regularity record isn’t too good so to avoid disappointment, please enquire first.

- Badminton
Badminton can be played at a number of hotels and sport club venues…for more information ask at you hotel on arrival.

- Cycling
Cycling Not only can one take a leisurely cycle around Jaipur but one can also watch (and possibly partake) in a keenly contested game, called Cycle Polo too. Each year venues for this alter and you are advised to check out where the latest game is being held on arrival.

- Camel Safari
Camel Safari Ride on one of the ships of the desert and travel as man did in India years ago. Camel safaris trace their origins to the time of trade between India and China, when camel caravans would journey along established trade routes laden with spices and herbs and jewels. No matter what you decide to do, you can’t go wrong on the back of one of these majestic beasts. Some tour operators organize elephant safaris between Jaipur and Pushkar which are very worthwhile.

Fishing is a great way to relax and is actually one sport that kids enjoy too. You would be surprised how quiet and patient children can be if they have a rod in their hands. This activity can be done on the lakes in the Jaipur area and you can either bring your own gear or buy it on arrival.

Golf Rambagh Golf Club (18 holes) permits non-members to swing a club for a small fee and is located adjacent to the hotel Rambagh Palace and at a distance of 5 – 7 km from most other hotels. It can be found on Bhawani Singh Road, Jaipur.

- Hang-gliding, Para-gliding
Hang-gliding and Para-gliding the open countryside of Rajasthan offers gliding opportunities that can prove remarkable and with permission from civil aviation authorities, these may be organised in Jaipur and nearby areas where there are runways and strips available for planes to take off.

- Rock Climbing

- Polo
Rambagh Polo Ground a huge historical ground, just behind Rambagh Palace, hosts many international polo tournaments worth watching. Elephant Polo an invention of Jaipur is one of the more exciting regular events held here too and is definitely something all visitors should experience. Cycle Polo is another Polo sport played in the area.

- Motorbike Safari
Motorbike Safari Travelling around India on a motorbike can be a very pleasant experience. For some reason it’s easier to stop whenever you want to, plus you can go off the well beaten track easily no matter what the road conditions are and discover the area around Jaipur far more readily than one car in a motorcar for example. If you like the wind on your face and the feeling of freedom, then this is a great way to discover the area.

Jaipur Vintage Car Rally If you are in the area in January then this is an event you are bound to enjoy watching and it has become a big draw for car lovers, sports lovers, vintage beauty lovers and tourists alike.
